CDD Ltd were appointed to work on the First Direct Arena. Located on the old Leeds Metropolitan University site to the North of Leeds City Centre adjacent the ring road this project was going to be no small job!
We loved this project as it was our first arena and the scale of projects of this size require very different considerations to smaller projects. Our role isn’t just to produce drawings – it’s to provide all of the reinforcement details that give your project it’s core strength so everything from the steel reinforcements and types of steel reinforcement bars have to be totally up to the job. All of the construction materials have to be borne in mind as well as schedules – you can just imagine the trouble you’d have on your hands if something as simple as your thermal expansion considerations were wrong!
Our role in this project included the RC Detailing for the full concrete frame and basement. We have years of experience working with numerous construction companies and councils.
